MEMBERSHIP
Please note that 2024 ASDS Memberships expire November 30, 2024.
ASDS provides its membership with opportunities to cultivate and develop skills in dressage through:
-
In-Person USDF/USEF-Recognized Horse Shows
We offer four 2-day dressage shows each year that are sanctioned by USEF and recognized by USDF. We contract at least 4 different “S” rated judges who fly in and often stay to clinic after the shows.
-
Virtual Horse Shows
We offer four virtual horse shows to allow competitors to practice their skills before entering in-person shows.
 -
Schooling Shows
We offer at least one schooling show each year.
-
Clinics + Symposiums
We are very lucky to have great clinicians visit us every year. Some of the clinicians who have visited us include Lilo Fore, Debbie McDonald, Jan Ebeling, and Allison Brock.
-
Awards Banquet
We stay busy with our shows and clinics and end our year with a celebration at our annual awards banquet. We are a small group with big ambitions.
You can submit a membership application form with check by mail (see instructions on form) or submit signed application by email to alohastatedressagemail@gmail.com and make your payment using the appropriate PayPal button, below. PayPal payments will incur a small additional fee to cover expenses.
ASDS Membership (includes USDF Group Membership)
Becoming a member of ASDS automatically includes also becoming a USDF Group Member. A USDF membership (either a Group Membership or a Participating Membership) is required to participate in recognized shows, except for introductory and opportunity classes, and is also required to qualify for ASDS year-end awards.
USEF Membership and SafeSport Training
If you plan to participate in recognized shows this year, don't forget to also renew your USEF membership and, if you are 18 or older, complete the Mandatory SafeSport Training (or refresher). If you are a rider, owner, trainer, or coach, and are 18 years or older (or will turn 18 before your next show), you are now required by USEF to complete the SafeSport Training in order to participate in recognized shows.

USDF Participating Membership (USDF PM)
If you'd like to qualify for national USDF year-end awards, you should also make sure to become a USDF Participating Member.

Horse Membership
Horse membership requirements for participating in USDF/USEF-recognized shows, other than in introductory and opportunity classes, include a USDF Horse ID or USDF Lifetime Registration as well as a USEF Horse ID, USEF Annual Recording, or USEF Lifetime Recording, and, to qualify for ASDS year-end awards, a horse must have an ASDS horse membership (either annual or lifetime).
For USDF national year-end awards membership requirements, please refer to the USDF Member Guide. Feel free to contact us with any questions or comments you may have.
